#60 The Outer Garden

 

Hello Lovelies,

I just could not get in the vibe to create tonight.  We are still frazzling in the UK in what is now our longest heatwave in 50 years and I find mentally it very hard to focus when boiling to death!  So what better time for a wander instead!

Tonight I visited The Outer Garden.  I have never experienced a place quite like this before. My first reaction was that it felt completely ethereal, almost like stepping into a dream. It truly took my breath away, not only with its beauty but with the incredible level of detail that has been brought together here.

The real beauty here lies in the unexpected. Mirrors become portals, allowing you to teleport to entirely different gardens. I found myself standing in a Japanese Garden for a while, completely mesmerized by the fireworks, simply taking in the magic of it all.

At times, it feels as though you are living inside a painting that has somehow been brought to life. I ended my visit back in the White Garden, floating high above it all on a balloon. But before you leave, don't miss the fabulous snacks waiting for you in the Conservatory!  Please do go and experience this for yourself.

What I Am Wearing:

One of my long time favorite Dinkie creators, Peeps Dinkies has absolutely embraced Kawaii this month with an adorable pastel-coloured dress featuring hand-drawn “Time to Be a Unicorn” artwork.

#59 La Vie en Rose

Have you ever had clothing inspire your destination for the day?  As soon as I put this gorgeous summer dress on my brain went 'nature walk'!  

So I took a peek at the Destination Guide and found La Vie en Rose.  If you're looking for somewhere peaceful to enjoy a solo wander or even a romantic date, I think this is the perfect spot.  From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed by the soothing sounds of nature, with meadows filled with majestic trees and beautiful wildflowers.

The real magic though, lies in exploring. Around every corner you'll find charming little nooks and hidden places to sit, relax, and simply soak in the peaceful surroundings. Keep your eyes open as you wander too... you might spot foxes, bears, and other delightful wildlife tucked throughout the landscape.

This is one of those places that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply enjoy the moment. 

What I Am Wearing:

#58 Take Your Drama Somewhere Else!

 

Hello Lovelies,

If your personality in Second Life revolves around starting arguments, stirring the pot, screenshotting conversations, collecting enemies, and auditioning for the lead role in "The Real Housewives of Second Life"... this probably isn't your audience.

Some of us are here to decorate homes, explore incredible regions, take ridiculously pretty photos, fall in love with virtual sunsets, and occasionally spend an embarrassing amount of Lindens on things we absolutely did not need.  We don't log in to become unpaid extras in someone else's soap opera. So if you're bringing chaos, negativity, and endless theatrics... the exit is that way. Take your drama somewhere else. My peace is worth far more than your performance.  I am grateful drama only finds me about once a year these days lol but I very much guard my peace in Second Life.

#57 No Prob-Llama!

While hibernating my way through the current heatwave in the UK I thought it would be a perfect time to blog!

Todays adventure took me to Pour Up Winery & Vineyard where a cool glass of white wine was exactly what I needed! From the moment I arrived, I felt as though I'd been transported to the rolling vineyards of Tuscany. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, making this the perfect destination for a romantic date night.

There's plenty to enjoy here too! Roll up your trousers and get involved in grape stomping, unleash your creativity with a MyStory-compatible pottery class, or head over to Maison Du Vin for a delightful wine-tasting experience.

As you wander through the vineyard, you'll discover charming little corners with cozy seating... perfect for snuggling up together, relaxing, and soaking in the beautiful views. The venue also features a stunning outdoor event space, so I'd definitely recommend joining their inworld Group for updates. 

They're also celebrating five wonderful years on the Grid with a Gold & White Attire Party on 23rd July at 6:00 PM, so if you're looking for a gorgeous place to explore, sip some wine, and make a few memories, be sure to stop by and check it out!

#56 Cherishville Summer

It sure has been a while since I had some time to blog.  Back in May I had a bit of a nasty fall and sprained my right wrist and bashed my knee which is still healing.  Thankfully nothing broken but our bodies sure love to take time to heal as we get older.  Apart from that I have been excitedly preparing for SL23B!  My sixth Birthday Round and I am always very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the celebration.

This week I also updated my Firestorm viewer finally and realized as I did the clean install that the last time I did that was just after the arrival of PBR in 2024 eek!  So perfect chance tonight to get back out and explore and see how everything is looking.  

My destination of choice was Cherishville Summer.  A breathtaking desert landscape greets you upon arrival, immediately setting the scene for a classic roadside escape. It feels like the perfect stop after a long, sun-soaked journey through the dust and heat.  A place to refuel both your vehicle and yourself with a hearty burger and fries.

The region encourages exploration, and before long you'll find yourself strolling along the main street, where a welcoming motel, lively bar, and a variety of local attractions create an authentic desert-town atmosphere full of character and charm.  Are you passing through or will you stay here forever and make it home?

What I am Wearing:

I do love a good tee, and this 'Rock and Roll' Torn Up Tee by Lamb fits to my body like a glove!  The slogan is bold and high quality and I love it!  I am wearing it on Maitreya Lara X but it also will fit the old style Maitreya plus Petite, Ebody Reborn + Waifu, Gen X, Legacy and Legacy Perky.

#55 Weekend Witchy Vibes

I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend! Today’s post has a soft “look of the day” feel, featuring a couple of treats you might just want to add to your collection.

If your style leans towards dark, gothic vibes, Hello Uglies is definitely a place worth exploring. They offer affordable, quality fashion... with options for men too... which makes it even more of a gem. I couldn’t resist having a little wander outside the store as well… not too far (I wasn’t quite sure where the boundaries were!), but what I did see was beautifully designed and absolutely worth a peek.

#54 When It Rains It Pours

During my month of exploring weather in Second Life, this is a bit of a fun twist!  Instead of searching for weather, I can take my own with me everywhere!  Magnetic have made this super fun Rain Cloud that comes in 4 colors that you can wear.  It will rain on you constantly but type in local chat and you get lightning with the sound of thunder rumbling.  Very unique.  I love it!

What I Am Wearing:
